Vacation Friends 2″ continues the story a few years after the original movie’s events, with Marcus and Emily inviting their wild friends Ron and Kyla on an all-expenses-paid Caribbean trip. Chaos erupts when Kyla’s recently released convict father arrives. While the original film garnered success with its fun vibe and solid cast, this sequel fails to capture the same magic. Despite a talented ensemble, the film lacks the energy and passion of its predecessor. The humor feels forced, with only a handful of genuine laughs scattered throughout the movie. The plot takes a misguided turn towards action in the third act, leaving audiences bewildered. The film’s saving grace remains its cast, particularly Howery and Cena, who maintain their comedic chemistry.
