“The Marvels” disappoints as the weakest link in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, failing to deliver a cohesive narrative for its trio of compelling characters—Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan. The attempt to weave their stories together, along with nods to other MCU properties, results in a rushed and confusing plot. The antagonist’s unimpressive visual effects add to the film’s drawbacks, overshadowing the charismatic performances of Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani. Despite a few enjoyable musical moments, they are insufficient to salvage the movie from its lackluster and disjointed execution. Visit afdah tv for more!
