When Cyrus looks through his scrapbook, which contains many illustrations and references to the twins, he will explain why he prefers his evil twin, Nemesis, over the better one.
In the meantime, Joe Smith, an old garbage man, is the target of attention of Sam by his peculiar habit of removing damaged appliances from the garbage can before fixing them. Wanting to learn more about him, Sam follows him everywhere. One day, as Joe is working on his business, the young man goes into his home and reads his journal to discover that the man who was there is the Samaritan. Enthusiastic about learning this information, the boy follows him and tries to get Joe to find out more about the man. But, the man with little words, Joe, doesn’t reveal anything and continues to live his day-to-day activities.
A few days later, after Sam is attacked in the face by Reza and his gang, Joe comes to his aid and beats them to death. Realizing that Joe isn’t cold as his initial impression, he quickly is friended by Sam, and the two spend longer together as Sam begins to get to know Joe more.
However, Granite City is dying due to poverty and unemployment. The city’s residents are gradually succumbing to the high cost of living. It is becoming impossible to live due to the increasing crime rate. Cyrus is profiting from the ongoing crisis in the city. He creates an army of citizens, indoctrinating them with his selfish propaganda and claiming that Cyrus will spare them from suffering.
