“Cobweb,” directed by Samuel Bodin, presents an unsettling world where young Peter is haunted by a mysterious voice trapped in his bedroom wall. As his parents grow increasingly frustrated with his behavior, the voice becomes a comforting presence, but its intentions are not as pure as they seem. Despite its eerie atmosphere, the film fails to fully deliver on its horror ambitions, with predictable jump scares and twists. The story introduces various elements, such as a missing trick-or-treater and bullies tormenting Peter, but many of these plotlines fizzle out without resolution. The performances of the cast, particularly Woody Norman as Peter, add some depth to the otherwise lackluster narrative. However, “Cobweb” ultimately falls short of its potential, leaving audiences with a dull and unfulfilling experience. Visit afdah tv for more!
